Fiancée
Visa for 6 months with no right to work. You can get married and switch to a Spouse visa.
Spouse or Civil Partner
You can get married outside the UK and apply as spouse. You can also switch from most UK visas like Student, Graduate, Youth Mobility (but not tourist). Visa is for 30 months inside the UK or 33 months from outside the UK
Unmarried Partner
Similar to Spouse visa, but for those who have been in a relationship for 2 years. Alternatively, you can get married and get a Spouse visa. Or you can get a Fiancée visa, followed by a Spouse visa.
Minimum Income Requirement

The current income requirement is GBP 29,000 per year, approximately USD 40,000. Can also be met with savings of GBP 88,500 (USD 120,000) held on the balance for 6 months. Unless the Sponsor receives eligible disability benefits, then the threshold is Adequate Maintenance, which is quite low.
